Records Manager’s Office
The office is in charge of overseeing all the Records Management functions, activities and transactions in the University. Records are very vital in the day to day management of the University. The University mainly manages Administrative, programs, staff and students records.
The department is also in charge of Registries, Records Centers and the Archives. The registries across all the Colleges and units are in charge of maintenance of active records while record centers manage semi-current records. Inactive records of permanent value are stored in the University archives which is located at the basement of Jomo Kenyatta Memorial Library.

REGISTRIES IN THE ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT
The section is in charge of management of general active records of the University. It ensures receipt, maintenance, storage and enables access and retrieval of information by action officers timely.
It is in charge of receipt and dispatch of mails/letters from within Central Administration, in the Colleges and outside the University.
All active personnel files are handled in this section. They also receive mails, files and dispatches the same for action to action officers for decision making. They also update staff leaves.
RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING REGISTRY
Responsible for receipt of applications for employment, promotions and trainings. They also dispatch appointment and training letters to concerned staff.
